Battery information available in more places
The battery percentage for the DOC AI Cam is now shown in the Sidekick app and on the new version of browse. This should make the management of your batteries much easier. -
Updated Sidekick - with set up Wizard
The new version of Sidekick now has a Wizard to guide you through the initial set up of your thermal camera/bird monitor. This includes a new help section, an easier way of setting up your APN and various bug fixes. -

We've released some software updates for the DOC AI Cam
- Low power mode is now working reliably
- A short press of the button will now turn the light off
- We are now logging battery voltage, humidity and temperature
- We have reactivated alerts when the camera is off for more than 24 hours.

Activity summaries and more animal tags
You can now elect to receive a daily or weekly activity summary, show which animals have been detected by the DOC AI Cam. There is also the option now to tag many Australian animals. -
Set up alerts for your group/project
You can now set up email alerts at the group/project level. Previously you could only do this for specific locations which was a little painful if you were moving your camera around and wanted an alert. -

Add notes to bird recordings
You can now add notes to bird recordings and flag the recording as requiring review, or cool. Stations with no recordings can now be deleted. -
Human voices automatically deleted from Bird Monitor
We now have the ability to automatically remove recordings that contain human voices. Also, you can now pin as many tags as you want. -
18 new birds and other sounds now recognised by the bird monitor
The Cacophony Bird Monitor can now recognise human, kiwi, morepork, whistler, generic bird calls, bellbird, black noddy, blackbird, crimson rosella, fantail, frog, grey warbler, house sparrow, insect, noise, norfolk gerygone, norfolk robin, rifleman, rooster, silvereye, sooty tern, sparrow, white tern. More improvements are on their way. -
Updated Android Sidekick App
The new version of Sidekick for Android prompts you to update the location of the camera if it has changed and provides quick links to recently uploaded videos.
